Mallow Gig

Uncategorized 4 Comments »

For those people in the Cork area, we are playing in the Lodge, Mallow tomorrow (Sat) evening. Brian Grace and myself and the highly talented Gentry Morris who is showcasing new songs from a forthcoming album, as they say…For those of you who may be wondering in an idle “nothing better to think about” sort of a way why things have been relatively quiet on the website after the flurry of the UK tour, it’s because I am spending my days revising for summer exams. Today it’s neurology, motor neuron disease, childhood epilepsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome and the like. Cheery…But we do have a few gigs coming up over May. The River Sessions on the Moon River booat are a great way to see the lakes in Carrick-on-Shannon and I’m looking forward to the Cherry Tree gig in Walkinstown, I’ve never played there but heard great things. Also, I believe there will be a full Irish tour in September, more details on dates to follow over the next couple of months.

Roll Back the Clouds

Some people have been wondering about the song “Roll Back the Clouds” I have been covering on the recent tour. It was written by Irishman Christie Henessey and I also have known it through the years as “To be a star”. It’s a beautiful song and the best version is Christie’s acoustic version with voice and guitar. There’s a radio version but I’m not mad about that one so be careful which one you purchase. I’m not sure where you can buy it but check out christie’s website www.christiehenessey.com
